OYE Scholar gives you AI-assisted tools to find scholarships and draft essays in your own voice. These terms explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. Use the service and you agree to them.

1. Who we are

OYE Scholar is a product of OYE Creations LLC ("we", "us", "OYE Scholar"). These terms govern your use of oyescholar.com and the OYE Scholar essay and scholarship-finder tools (the "Service"). If anything here is unclear, reach us through the chat bubble on any OYE Scholar page before you rely on it.

2. What the Service does

OYE Scholar helps you discover scholarships and generate first-draft essays tailored to a prompt and to the details you provide. The Service produces drafts and suggestions. It is a writing aid, not a guarantee of any outcome.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use OYE Scholar. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using it, you confirm you meet these requirements.

4. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your login secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

5. Honest use and academic integrity

OYE Scholar is built to help you tell your own true story well, not to fabricate one. By using the Service you agree that:

• You will review, edit, and verify every essay before you submit it anywhere.
• The facts, experiences, and claims in your final essay are truthful and your own.
• You will follow the rules of any scholarship, school, or program you apply to, including any rules about AI-assisted writing and disclosure.
• You will not use the Service to impersonate someone else, plagiarize, or misrepresent your identity or achievements.

You are solely responsible for what you submit. Scholarship providers set their own policies, and following them is your responsibility, not ours.

6. AI-generated content

Essays and suggestions are generated with the help of AI (the Claude API from Anthropic) based on the inputs you provide. AI can be wrong, incomplete, or generic. Always treat the output as a starting draft and make it accurate and genuinely yours before using it. We do not warrant that generated content is correct, original, or suitable for any particular scholarship.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use OYE Scholar to do anything illegal, abusive, or harmful. In particular, don't:

• Break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Resell, scrape, or bulk-extract the Service or its output without our written permission.
• Submit content that is unlawful, hateful, or violates someone else's privacy or intellectual property.

We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the Service or these terms.

8. Payments, pricing, and refunds

Some features are paid, on a per-essay basis or by subscription. Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime, and your access continues through the end of the period you already paid for.
• Refunds: because essays are generated and delivered to you immediately, per-essay purchases are generally non-refundable once the essay is generated. If something went wrong on our end, contact us and we will make it right.
• We may change prices going forward; changes never apply retroactively to a period you've already paid for.

9. Who owns what

Your content is yours. The inputs you provide and the final essays you produce belong to you, and you are free to use, edit, and submit them. Our platform is ours. The OYE Scholar software, design, branding, and underlying prompts and tooling are owned by OYE Creations LLC and are not transferred to you. You may not copy or reuse them beyond normal use of the Service.

10. No guarantee of results

We do not promise that using OYE Scholar will win you any scholarship, award, or admission. Scholarship decisions are made entirely by third parties on their own criteria. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OYE Creations LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost scholarships, lost opportunities, or the consequences of content you chose to submit. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Suspension and termination

You can stop using OYE Scholar and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these terms or use the Service in a way that creates risk for us or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability) survive termination.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify account holders. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in New Mexico, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
